How to Choose the Perfect Event Venue at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort

Whether you’re planning a wedding, family reunion, corporate retreat, or wellness getaway, picking the right venue can make or break the entire event. But it’s not just about the building–it’s about the location and experience everyone will have around it. And that’s why I think Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort needs to be on your radar for your next event!

Over the course of my mulitple visits at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, I noticed several venues scattered around the property. Earlier this year, I actually got to have a behind-the-scenes look at all the incredible event spaces that the resort has to offer, and I’m here today to give you the inside scoop on each one, and what kind of event it’s good for.

So rather than simply hanging out at a basic venue for a few hours, you can turn your event into an unforgettable Colorado getaway!

Why Choose Mount Princeton for Your Event?

When it comes to booking a memorable event, not all venues are created equal. Sure, you could book a “basic” standalone venue just about anywhere. But if you’re really wanting to elevate your event, you can’t go wrong with incredible views, beautiful gathering spaces, and the convenience of an amenity-packed mountain resort.

This is especially true if you want your even to last for a few days, such as a prolonged family reunion, destination wedding, or conference.

Now here’s where I really feel like Mount Princeton makes these kind of events so easy.

First, the resort has different kinds of lodging to support groups of all sizes. You can book rooms and suites for individuals, couples, and small families, or go all in on cabins that can fit up to 10 people each.

Those accommodations look even more tempting when all overnight guests can enjoy the resort’s many amenities, including access to all the hot springs, spa discounts, and complimentary seasonal gear. So after meetings or before the big day, everyone can relax in their favorite way.

The resort also has an onsite restaurant where guests can gather for group meals or eat at their convenience throughout the trip. And they’ll even work with you on a custom menu for your event if that suits your schedule better!

With all of that on one property, it makes it easy to turn your event into a memorable mountain escape, whether it’s for one night or a full week.

The Pavilion

The largest venue on the property is The Pavilion, which is a sprawling building with floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the mountain views and sunlight right inside. It’s surrounded by a rambling lawn where guests can gather in the fresh air, and right down the hill, there’s a beautiful garden meadow that’s the perfect place to say, “I do.”

But this building isn’t just for weddings. There’s room for dozens of tables if you want to pack it out for a reception, banquet, fundraiser, or even a family reunion.

Plus, it’s just a short walk or drive away from many of the resort’s accommodation options, so guests can easily transition from celebrating to unwinding when the event is over.

Conference Center

Perched up toward the top of the cliffs, you’ll find the Conference Center, which has amazing views of the whole property sprawling out below.

While smaller than the Pavilion, it also has those incredible floor-to-ceiling windows that make the space feel bigger with plenty of light and panoramic views.

This venue is great for everything from corporate conferences and retreats to rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, and smaller receptions.

It has a cozy fireplace and a flexible floor plan that works well with a variety of tables for dinners, a cocktail hour, or meetings. And if your event is a little more lively, there’s an option to add a dance floor, too!

The Conference Center is also just a short walk or drive from the Hillside and Cliffside rooms, plus a number of cainbs. So whether you’re having a corporate retreat or family event, everyone can easily meet here, then disperse to relax in their rooms or enjoy the resort’s many amenities.

Conference Cabin

Close to the Conference Center, you’ll also find the Conference Cabin. And while it may look pretty unassuming from the outside, it has one of the most flexible event spaces on the property!

The relaxed cabin style is easy to transform for a variety of casual events: a small conference, a wellness retreat, or even a creative workshop. There’s room for tables and chairs, yoga mats, you name it!

And while there are no floor-to-ceiling windows here, the cabin still lets in lots of natural light, and has some of the best mountain views on the property from the front porch. It’s a really inviting setting that still gives groups room to customize the space.

Fitness Studio

Right by the spa, you’ll find the Fitness Studio, which is perfect for wellness and fitness retreats. This wide-open active space is used for weekly fitness classes, but you can book the whole thing for your own private event as well.

There’s plenty of room for yoga, workouts, or meditation–and all the necessary equipment. Plus, it’s in a prime location to get your moves in, then flow right over to the spa for a massage or the Relaxation Pool for a soak with amazing views. So you can really combine multiple wellness aspects together seamlessly for an unforgettable retreat.

Turn Your Event Into a Mountain Getaway

The thing I personally love about hosting an event at Mount Princeton vs. a “standard venue” is that there’s so much to do beyond the event space.

For most weddings, conferences, or retreats, everyone meets for a few hours, then goes their separate ways. But at Mount Princeton, guests can continue the celebrations, brainstorming, and networking while they stay on-site and enjoy everything the resort has to offer! Or, if the schedule has some flexibility, guests can bike in the mornings, take a hot springs dip between sessions, and all gather for dinner after the main event.

Plus, the resort offers the option for a custom catering menu, making it so easy to provide food that accommodates allergies and preferences.

So whether you’re planning a wedding weekend with family, a multi-day conference, or a wellness retreat, Mount Princeton makes it incredibly easy to take things to the next level and turn it into a true getaway that everyone can enjoy together.
